RSS feeds
I have been using Google Reader for a year or so now. It is one of the first things I check when I go online at home. It's a good way to keep track of all my favorite blogs and updates on all of my favorite websites. I also use it for news. I have a feed on npr.org and get updates every time they post a new story. It is a great way to group all of your favorites into one convenient location. And I look forward to reading my fellow challege-taker's blogs and updates!
Bloggies
I enjoy reading blogs. I have been doing it for a few years now, though I have never started one myself. Even with the blogs you can do on MySpace and Facebook- so simple, so easy to find, just never felt the urge to write one. I have friends who blog that live far off now. I love catching up on their lives by reading their latest blogs. I think I will enjoy doing it knowing I don't have anyone to impress, I can write whatever I want. No pressure!
Reaction to 7 1/2 habits of highly successful learners
The contract idea is interesting. I may try filling it out, but I am not sure what the technology or item is that I want to learn. I may choose something unrelated to this challenge. I really want to take up snowshoeing, but I suppose I have to wait for snow to try that out. Maybe I will try to find something as the lessons go on week by week.
First blog for me
This is the beginning of my blog as part of the SD library challenge 2.0. It may become a personal blog after the challenge is through. I'm excited to get started!
